Fort Wayne, IN — After winning all 4 games played last week, the Komets swept the UHL player awards for the week ending Dec. 5.

Kevin St. Pierre was honored with the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week Award. Last year's Sherwood UHL Most Valuable Player of the Year was 3-0 for the week posting a 1.33 goals against average, .959 save percentage and 1 shutout. It's the 7th time St. Pierre has earned the UHL's Goaltender of the Week award as a Komet including 6 weekly honors last season.

Rookie defenseman Jason Kean was named the Sherwood UHL Player of the Week. Kean, 25, earned the award after scoring 1 goal and adding 6 assists in 4 games played for a 7-point week. Kean skated a career game Sunday guiding the Komets to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Flint Generals scoring a goal and adding 4 assists. Kean's 5 point outing ties the team record of most points scored by a Komet in a UHL game.

Krueckl on team suspension.....the Komets also announced today that they have placed winger Tim Krueckl on team suspension as he tends to personal matters.

Komets at K.C. tonight.....the Komets will faceoff against the Oultaws for the first time in Kansas City tonight at 8:00 Fort Wayne time. The season series is tied 1-1 and tonight's game is the 3rd of 9 meetings this season. Friday the Komets will play host to the Motor City Mechanics at 8pm. Saturday the Komets travel back to Missouri to face the River Otters in St. Charles at 8:05pm (Fort Wayne time) before returning home to host the Elmira Jackals Sunday afternoon at 5:00. Still plenty of good seats are on sale for this weekend's Komet home games at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at ticketmaster.com.

Tonight's Komet game at Kansas City will be webcast at www.kansascityoutlaws.com. Fans can also follow the boxscore of the game with U-Ticker. There will be no Fort Wayne radio of tonight's game at Kansas City. Komet games this Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast on WOWO Radio AM 1190. Sunday's Komet home game will be aired on WKJG Radio AM 1380. All Komet games this weekend will be webcast at www.komets.com at Comcast KometCast.
