
Komets Face Mallards in Weekend Playoff Preview

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets finish the 2016-17 campaign with a home-and-home series against the Quad City Mallards in a preview of the first round of the upcoming playoffs.
The Komets will travel to Quad City for an 8:05pm faceoff tonight (Friday) before both teams return to Fort Wayne to cap the season with a 7:30pm faceoff Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum.
The Komets and Quad City are locked into position and will face each other in the opening round of the ECHL Central Division semifinals best-of-seven series set to begin Friday, April 14 in Fort Wayne. Game 2 will take place Saturday in Fort Wayne at 7:30pm before the series moves to Quad City for games 3, 4 and 5. If games 6 and 7 are necessary, they will be held in Fort Wayne.

Hall of Fame Night Saturday-- The Komets Hall of Fame will increase by five new members in a ceremony planned this Saturday night when the Komets host Quad City. The Class of 2017 inductees include Komet legends Carey Lucyk and Dale Baldwin, long-time Off-Ice Official Ken Roehrs and team statisticians Don Detter and Ted Rolf. The Hall of Fame inductions ceremony will take place prior to opening faceoff Saturday.
