
Kollar Named Goalie of the Week

[Macon Ga.] - Macon Trax goaltender Andy Kollar has been named the WHA2 Goalie of the Week. Kollar is the first Trax player to earn a weekly award this season.
Kollar played only one game last week but faced 51 shots against the Orlando Seals Nov. 16 at the TD Waterhouse Center. The award surprised Kollar when he was told about it.
"To be honest I am quite shocked." Kollar said, "I didn't think I'd be up for the award with only one game played. I am pretty pumped, this is awesome!"
Kollar made 49 saves in the game against the Seals. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native only allowed two Orlando shots to find the back of the net in a 6-2 Trax win. Overall the 5'8", 165-pound goaltender shut Orlando out for the final 35:18 of the game.
The Trax are just hours away from their home opener. The home opener is Saturday, Nov. 22 versus the Alabama Slammers. Tickets are still available at the Trax office. Stop by the their Macon Centreplex office or call them at 478-742-4849. The game starts at 7:35 pm. Get there early to get your Burger King magnet schedule!
