Knowlton Named CFL Defensive Player of the Week

Hamilton, Ontario - Hamilton Tiger-Cats linebacker Markeith Knowlton has been named CFL's Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's win over the B.C. Lions.

Knowlton helped spark the Ticats fourth quarter comeback at Empire Field by recording a fumble recovery, quarterback sack and a forced fumble in the game's final minutes. Knowlton finished the contest with three defensive tackles, a quarterback sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pass knockdown.

This season, the two-time East Division All-Star has recorded 51 defensive tackles, three quarterback sacks, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
