Defensive Back Bo Smith Returns to Hamilton

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that import defensive back Bo Smith has rejoined the team. Smith spent two seasons in Hamilton before attending training camp with the NFL's New York Jets earlier this year.

Smith, a 6-0, 190-pound native of Owensboro, Kentucky started all 18 regular season games with the Ticats last season, recording 39 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles and two interceptions. He led the Ticats with nine defensive tackles in the 2009 East Semi-Final.

In 25 career games, Smith has made 53 defensive tackles, 11 special teams tackles, five pass knockdowns and two interceptions. He originally signed with the Ticats on January 29, 2008.

The Weber State product signed with the New York Jets on January 8 and was among the team's final cuts on September 4.
