Key Departures

In terms of departures, Sky Blue FC gets the award for the biggest departure of the offseason. Sam Kerr. Yes, the 2017 golden boot and MVP winning Sam Kerr. It's not often you trade away the league's top player who is 24 but Sky Blue did. On top of that, Sky Blue also parted ways with Nikki Stanton, Kelley O'Hara, and Taylor Lytle.

Key Additions

Out went one star, in came another. Carli Lloyd. We all know what the USWNT veteran brings to the field. Other additions include Janine Beckie, Shea Groom, and Christina Gibbons.

Team Form

In terms of team form there's not a lot going right for Sky Blue FC in 2018. The club has six points from 23 matches. They have yet to win a single game. Defensively, the New Jersey team has had a rough go with their goal differential currently sitting at a whopping -32. Sky Blue has two draws in their last five matches so at least you could politely say this is their best form of the season.

In the attacking end of the field, things still continue to look grim. Katlyn Johnson and Imani Dorsey lead the side with just four goals a piece on the season. In defense, it's the same story.

Head-to-head

The Pride are 3-2-2 all-time versus Sky Blue FC. The two meetings from last season both resulted in wins in favor of the Pride. The two meetings have so far been a win for the Pride and a draw.
