Battle Creek, Michigan - The Battle Creek Knights ( 4-0 ) earned their fourth victory of the 2009 season against the Detroit Panthers (2-2) in a Premier Basketball League contest by the score of 109-101 at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan in front of 1,305.
Knights leading scorer in the contest was Rashi Johnson with 24 points in the game.
Knights leading rebounder was Jason Arbet with 7 rebounds.
Detroit Panthers leading scorer in the game was by former Knights, WMU standout, Stane's Bufford, with 26 points in this Midwest Division PBL contest.
The Knights collected 64 teddy bears in the first teddy toss in PBL history. The collected teddy bears are being donated to the Salvation Army.
The Knights next home game is Monday, January 19th, 2009, vs. the Augusta (Georgia) Groove at Kellogg Arena. Tip off time is 7 p.m.
