
Knights trade Matt Pelech

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter today announced that the team has traded Defenseman Matt Pelech to the Belleville Bulls in exchange for a conditional 15th Round Pick in 2009. As soon as Pelech plays in 1 OHL Game in the 2006-2007 Ontario Hockey League season the London Knights will receive the following draft picks from Belleville.

4th Round Pick in 2007
3rd Round Pick in 2008
5th Round Pick in 2008
Pelech, 18 was acquired in December 2005 from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for Steve Ferry and Matt McCready. Pelech appeared in 34 games for the London Knights during the 2005-2006 and recorded 1 goal and 7 assists to go along with 80 penalty minutes.
Pelech was selected by the Calgary Flames in the 1st Round of the 2005 National Hockey League Draft.
