Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights News Release

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are pleased to announce another tender signing, as forward Markus Cook joins the Knights family for the upcoming season.

Cook, 18, spent the past season playing in the NA3HL for the Binghamton Jr. Senators. The 36 club junior league serves as a direct feeder for the tier II North American Hockey League, providing young, talented players that can take the next step.

"Markus is a strong and pugnacious forward that puts himself in prime scoring areas," said Director of Scouting and Knights Assistant Coach, Andrew Whiteside. "He has a high-compete level and is very tough to knock off pucks. We look forward to having Markus join our organization."

A native of Bear, DE, Cook is in the latter stages of his season with Binghamton. He currently ranks 10th in NA3HL scoring, having tallied 38 goals and 87 points on the 2018-19 campaign.

In the 2017-18 season, Cook found himself a journeyman, playing youth hockey in both the AYHL and USHS, along with junior hockey in the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers organization at both the EHL and EHLP. Markus becomes the fifth tender signing for the Knights this season.
