(Lawrenceville, GA) - Home runs by Andy Wilkins and Blake Tekotte led the red-hot Charlotte Knights to a 9-6 win over the Gwinnett Braves on Sunday from Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA. With the win, the Charlotte Knights earned a two-game series sweep against their South Division foe. The two teams will open a two-day, three-game series from BB&T Ballpark on Monday with a day-night doubleheader.

RHP Dylan Axelrod (5-6, 4.38) started for Charlotte and earned his fifth win of the season after allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings. Axelrod walked just one batter and registered six strikeouts.

Two batters later, Tekotte ripped his ninth of the year. For the season, the Knights have hit a league-best 94 home runs.

Charlotte scored six of their eight runs off Gwinnett starter Aaron Northcraft (0-1, 12.46), who was saddled with the loss. He gave up six runs on eight hits over just 2.2 innings pitched.

A night after recording four RBIs, Micah Johnson added two more RBIs on Sunday. He was 2-for-5 on the afternoon. Tekotte led the way with three hits and three runs scored.
