
Knights Sign Jace Fry

The Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League have signed left-handed pitcher Jace Fry of Southridge High School, an Oregon State signee who led the Skyhawks to the No. 1 ranking in Class 6A for much of the spring.
Fry was 10-0 with a 1.42 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 52 innings during the regular season. He was the Metro League Pitcher of the Year and has been selected to play in the Reser's All-Star Series, set for June 18-19 at Goss Stadium.
He will be the fifth pitcher with OSU ties to play for the Knights this season. He joins freshmen Ben Wetzler, Scott Schultz, Adam Duke and Tom Zarosinski on the roster.
The Knights open their home schedule at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday against the Klamath Falls Gems at Goss Stadium.
