Knights are hot!
Corvallis has won eight straight and seven consecutive WCL games. The Knights swept Medford July 24-26, swept Victoria at Royal Athletic Park July 27-29 and won the first game of their series at Kelowna last night, 8-4. The team's starting pitching has been masterful with southpaw Eliott Surrey of UC Irvine (4-1) leading the WCL in ERA at 1.26. Corvallis is currently in first place in the South Division with a 27-15 record, two games ahead of second-place Bend (25-17). The Elks come to Goss for a three-game set starting Monday, August 5.

Five Knights make Southern Division All-Star team.
Pitchers Devon Barker and Brandon Choate, catcher/outfielder Dane Lund, third baseman Cody Lenahan and outfielder Blake Drake were selected to the Southern Division All-Star team. They helped the South defeat the North 7-5 at Victoria on July 23.
Congrats to our all-star Knights!
Dylan Hecht returns to UCSB for summer school
Relief pitcher Dylan Hecht of UC Santa Barbara has returned to California for a summer school term and will miss the rest of the season. He was 0-2 with a 3.06 ERA in eight games, with 18 strikeouts in 14.2 innings.
Seth Heck to play at Mississippi State
Knights' infielder Seth Heck of Tacoma Community College will play at Mississippi State next season. The Bulldogs recently finished second behind UCLA at the College World Series. He's a graduate of Kamiak High School in Edmonds, Wash., who originally joined us as a 10-day signee.
Seth hit .330 (62-188) in 51 games at TCC in 2013, with a homer and 32 RBIs. He was named a NWAACC West Division all-star, a second-team NWAACC all-star, and the Gold Glover winner for shortstops.
In 2012, Seth hit .355 (59-166) in 44 games, with 22 RBIs. He was a NWAACC West Division all-star, a second-team NWAACC all-star, and the Gold Glover winner for shortstops.

Attendance on the rise
A crowd of 1,755 for Cap Night on July 26 pushed our season attendance to 32,804 for 25 dates, an average of 1,312 per opening. We're 1,053 ahead of last year's number through a corresponding number of dates.
We're on target to break our all-time record of 42,447, set in 2011. But we can't get there without your help, so get on out to the ballpark for our final homestand.
