Victoria, British Columbia - The Gems were held to eight hits off Victoria starter Logan Lombana (Long Beach State University) who won his first game of the season Tuesday night at Royal Athletic park in Victoria, BC. as the HarbourCats won 11-4.
The Gems L.J.Brewster (University of Hawaii) stroked his first home run of the year, driving in three runs on the night as the Gems lost their second straight, falling to 21-22 in 2013. Victoria broke a three game losing streak with the win, improving to 19-23. Angelo Lingos (UC Riverside) took the loss in his first start of the year for the Gems and moved to 2-4 overall on the year. The Gems remain tied for 4th place in the South Division with Cowlitz.
