
Knights Defenseman Zaitsev to Join Russian National U18 Team

The Wilkes-Bare/Scranton Knights of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce that Defenseman, Dmitriy Zaitsev has been invited by and will be participating with the Russian National U18 Team. He will be competing in the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championships, being held in Grand Forks, ND April 14-April 24.
"It is a great honor to be asked to represent and play for your country in an international competition," noted head coach Tom Kowal. "Dmitriy has been a tremendous player for us this season and we are very proud of what he has accomplished. We are excited for him and wish him well during this prestigious event. We will miss Dmitriy for sure but know what a great opportunity this is for him."
In 52 games for the Knights this season Zaitsev has accumulated 7 goals, 15 assists for 22 points and 74 penalty minutes.
