FORT MILL, S.C. - One run games are becoming the norm for the Charlotte Knights as the team dropped a tough one to the visiting Indianapolis Indians 3-2 at Knights Stadium. The game was the team's ninth one run game in their last 13 played.

Once again the Knights got solid starting pitching as Dylan Axelrod allowed just two runs off five hits in six innings. Despite taking the loss, Axelrod was effective striking out four. The bullpen did their part allowing just one run in three innings of relief. Reliever Shane Lindsay made his fourth consecutive scoreless relief appearance.

After being behind a run in the first inning, the Knights evened things up on a RBI single from Jordan Danks. It would be one of two hits by Danks in the game. The Indians would again take the lead on a Josh Harrison sacrifice fly RBI and would add another run in the 8th on a RBI triple from Matt Hague.

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Russ Ohlendorf earned the win for Indianapolis pitching five innings on a major league rehab assignment. Travis Wood finished the game for his 20th save of the season and his second straight against the Knights.

The Knights begin a two game series tomorrow at 7:05 PM in Durham. RHP Deunte Heath will start for Charlotte and RHP Ryan Reid will start for Durham.
