Charlotte Knights News Release
FORT MILL, S.C. - All good things must come to an end, and the Charlotte Knights winning streak ended early in their 12-8 loss to visiting Richmond. The Braves tagged Charlotte starting pitcher Lance Broadway for four runs in the first inning and never looked back. The loss ended the Knights seven game winning streak.
The one streak that stayed alive was Jason Bourgeois' hitting streak which was extended to 16 games with a base hit to right center field in the bottom of the 9th inning.
The Knights did not give up easily as they scored 8 runs over the last four innings, including four runs in the bottom of the ninth. The inning was highlighted by a three run home run by second baseman Danny Richar.
The Knights will play their final game before the All-Star break tomorrow against Richmond at 12:15 PM.
The Charlotte Knights are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. For ticket or event information, please contact the Knights front office at (704) 357-8071 or (803) 548-8050 or visit our website at www.charlotteknights.com for more information.
