Knights Add Another Veteran, Another Rookie

MACON, Ga. – The Macon Knights announced today that the team has been assigned Jason Perry and Delanio Taylor. Perry will return for his third season with the Knights and Taylor enters his first season with the Knights and arenafootball2.

Perry (6-1, 305, Morehouse) has played in 38 straight games for the Knights including six playoff games. Last season, Perry helped anchor the Knights line last year which allowed only 10 sacks all seasons, ranking fourth in the league. Perry recorded 17 tackles, three tackles for a loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery in his career with the Knights. Perry joined the Knights after playing one season with the Columbus Wardogs (af2) and finishing his collegiate career at Morehouse College in 2001. Perry was a member of the 2002 American Conference Eastern Division and 2003 American Conference Championship teams.

Taylor (6-2, 305, Chattanooga) enters his first season with the Knights and arenafootball2. Taylor was a two-year starter at offensive tackle for the Mocs during the 2000 and 2001 seasons. Before attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he was a two-year starter at Georgia Military College in nearby Milledgeville, Ga. Taylor is originally from Seneca, S.C.

The Macon Knights – 2003 American Conference Champions – will kick off the season with a rematch of the 2003 ArenaCup as they play host to the Tulsa Talons on April 10th at 7:30 pm.
