
The Law Wants You, Laredo af2 Team Will Hold Open Tryout

LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Law arenafootball2 team will hold an open tryout on Sunday, February 29th, at the Laredo Entertainment Center for players 18 years and over. The Law 2004 af2 season begins April 3rd, with the home opener set for April 23rd at the LEC. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263) or log onto www.laredolaw.com.
Registration is at 9 a.m. on the 29th, with the workout scheduled to begin promptly at 10 a.m. at the LEC. There is a $40 registration fee with cash or money order only accepted and all participants must sign an injury waiver during registration. All participants will receive a Law T- Shirt.
The tryout will be conducted indoors on artificial turf. All participants are required to bring their own shoes (turf shoes preferably) and other workout accessories.
"We are looking for a guy at each position," said Law head coach Scot Maynard. "We have spots left open. We want someone who can come in and compete and have a chance to make this team and bring local flavor to it."
Participants will be measured for height and weight, tested in the 40- yard dash, short shuttle, bench press, individual drills and one-on-one.

In four short seasons the af2 has doubled in size from 15 teams to nearly 30. arenafootball2 promotes a fan friendly attitude with autograph sessions on the field for the home team after each game.
