
Knighthawks Activate Defenseman Chandon Hill

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks General Manager Regy Thorpe announced today that the team has activated defenseman Chandon Hill from the practice squad. He will replace defenseman Troy Bonterre who returned home to handle a personal matter. Forward Dean Hill will also make his Rochester debut as Gary Gait will miss the game due to travel problems.
Chandon Hill spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Mohawk Stars of the Ontario Lacrosse Association Senior "B" league. The 26 year old also spent five seasons with the Junior "A" Six Nations Arrows.
Dean Hill also makes his Knighthawks debut tonight. He was acquired from the Minnesota Swarm on February 19th, along with Craig Point. This season, he was fourth on the Swarm in points with 11 (2+9) in four games. He played in Minnesota since the 2006 season and collected 49 goals and 41 assists in 27 games. The Scarborough, Ontario, native was selected by Minnesota in the fifth round (48th overall) of the 2005 NLL Entry Draft. In 2005, he tallied 80 points (41+39) in 20 games with the Spartan Warrior's Junior "B" team in the Ontario Lacrosse Association. His 80 points were good for seventh in the league in scoring. Hill was the OLA Junior "B" leading scorer in 2003.
The Knighthawks (3-5) will battle the defending champion Buffalo Bandits (7-2) on Saturday, March 14th at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Rochester will celebrate Irish Night that night as fans can enjoy live Irish music by Everheart and performances by Irish dancers and bag pipers. Fans that wear green can also receive best available seating for just $10. College Students can purchase a $10 ticket in the 200 Corner Seating Section by showing their College ID at The Box Office. The contest will be broadcast live on WYSL 1040-AM and wysl1040.com. Fans can watch the game live online at knighthawks.net and via the NLL Network at NLL.com.
