
Kintzler Reaches Majors with the Brewers

Pitcher Brandon Kintzler is the latest Winnipeg Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Major Leagues.
Kintzler, 26, has been called up by the National League's Milwaukee Brewers for the month of September. This summer Kintzler split time between the Double-A Huntsville Stars and Triple-A Nashville Sounds. He had a combined 1.47 ERA and 4-0 record, while racking up 16 saves. In 49 innings, he struck out 44 batters he faced and walked just seven. Kintzler played for the Goldeyes in 2007 and 2008, mostly as a starting pitcher. In 2007, he was 5-2 with a 4.87 ERA in 29 games and was 7-6 with a 4.65 ERA in 20 games during the 2008 season.
After his season with the Brewers is over, Kintzler is slated to join the Surprise Rafters of the Arizona Fall League. Winnipeg Goldeyes Alumni in the Majors
