Kings Win Season Opener
May 22, 2009 - Frontier League (FL)
Kalamazoo Kings News Release
The Kalamazoo Kings opened the 2009 season with a bang. The offensive explosion of 13 runs on 14 hits was only matched by the postgame fireworks show. Brendan Murphy led the way with a Grandslam in the fifth inning, only to be followed by another HR three batters later by Michael Graves. New Old 1B Tim Brown added a homer of his own and new addition Hans Stancil contributed 3 RBI. All this offense supported John Brownell, who only gave up 2 hits in 5 innings of work to pick up the win.
