The Kardiac Kings struck once again with a 4-2 win in an Eastern Division heavyweight fight over the second place Florence Freedom. After being shutout for 10 of the 11 innings, late inning replacement Destan Makonnen hit a 2 run walkoff HR in the bottom of the 12th inning to mark the 4th time in 17 wins the Kings won in their final at bat. Four Kings relievers kept the Kings in the ballgame by throwing six scoreless innings in relief of another solid start by Joe DiPietro.
