Kings and Monarchs to Provide Extensive Coverage of 2010 NHL Entry Draft

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, and the club's official website, LAKings.com, will begin their pre-draft coverage of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft tomorrow, Friday, the team announced today. LAKings.com/draft10 will provide comprehensive coverage of the draft which takes place June 25-26 at STAPLES Center. The Monarchs will also be represented at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and will keep fans in Manchester updated through ManchesterMonarchs.com, Facebook.com/MonarchsHockey and Twitter.com/MonarchsHockey.

Beginning June 18, LAKings.com will feature new, original content daily (see schedule below) through the final player selection of the seventh round. The Kings will also be able to cover the draft like never before with the prestigious event taking place in Los Angeles for the first time, and fans can check back at LAKings.com/draft10 beginning tomorrow and throughout the next 10 days and the coming weeks for all draft-related Kings coverage.

Kings Vision host Heidi Androl will help spearhead the club's video coverage from the Toyota Sports Center (TSC) in El Segundo leading up to the draft, and from STAPLES Center, the site of the draft. Kings broadcasters Daryl Evans and Jim Fox will also be contributing video interviews for Kings Vision from STAPLES Center.

Kings Vision will also stream live the annual Commissioner's Brunch on Friday, June 25, from 10 a.m. - Noon (PSD) from the JW Marriott hotel at L.A. Live. The panel will feature NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, AEG President and CEO/Kings Governor Tim Leiweke, Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille and President/Chief Executive Officer - Hockey Canada Bob Nicholson. The event is presented by the Consulate General of Canada, FedEx and University of Phoenix.

LAKings.com/draft10 will also feature written coverage of the draft, led by Rich Hammond of LAKingsInsider.com, and numerous podcasts. In addition, for the second straight year the Kings will be tweeting directly from the Draft. Check out special "tweets" as the club holds pre-draft scouting meetings and also follow Kings tweets directly from the Draft floor both days of the draft.
