
Host Kings Enter 2010 NHL Entry Draft with Nine Selections

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, are hosting the NHL Entry Draft for the first time in franchise history and are scheduled to make the first of nine current selections in front of their hometown crowd with the 19th overall choice on Friday, June 25, at STAPLES Center beginning at 7 p.m. (EST).
National rightsholders VERSUS in the United States and TSN and RDS in Canada will provide live coverage of the first round beginning at 7 p.m. (EST). NHL Radio also will provide first-round coverage, which can be heard on radio stations across North America including NHL Home Ice XM 204 and NHL.com. NHL Network and RIS will broadcast rounds 2-7 the following day, Saturday, June 26, starting at 1 p.m. (EST).

Pick 55 (Vancouver to Columbus, via Buffalo):
(1) Vancouver traded Los Angeles' 3rd-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft (previously acquired) and Vancouver's 2nd-round pick in 2010 to Buffalo for RW Steve Bernier (07/04/08).
(2) Buffalo traded D Nathan Paetsch and Vancouver's 2nd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft (previously acquired) to Columbus for LW Raffi Torres (03/03/10).
Pick 59 (Philadelphia to Los Angeles): Philadelphia traded D Denis Gauthier and its 2nd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft to Los Angeles for D Patrik Hersley and LW Ned Lukacevic (07/01/08).

Pick 63 (Florida to Tampa Bay, via Los Angeles):
(1) Florida traded its 3rd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft to Los Angeles for Columbus' 4th-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft (previously acquired) and St. Louis' 5th-round pick in 2009 (previously acquired) (6/27/09).
(2) Los Angeles traded RW Teddy Purcell and Florida's 3rd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft (previously acquired) to Tampa Bay for C Jeff Halpern (03/03/10).
Pick 70 (NY Rangers to Los Angeles): NY Rangers traded their 3rd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft to Los Angeles for C Brian Boyle (06/27/09).
Fifth Round
Pick 139 (Los Angeles to Colorado): Los Angeles traded D Kyle Quincey, D Tom Preissing and its 5th-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft to Colorado for LW Ryan Smyth (07/03/09).
Pick 148 (San Jose to Los Angeles): San Jose traded its 4th-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft and 5th-round pick in 2010 to Los Angeles for Tampa Bay's 4th-round pick in 2008 (previously acquired) (6/21/08).
