Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish (14-19) made history tonight. After losing game one of a doubleheader to Rockford by a final of 6-3, Kenosha took a 3-0 win in game two. What made game two so spectacular, however, was Rigo Beltran throwing the first no-hitter in Kingfish franchise history.

It was Rigo's day from the first pitch. Beltran struck out the game's first batter, Cade Bunnell, on three pitches and never looked back. The strikeout would be Beltran's weapon of choice throughout the night, as he racked up a grand total of 12.

Beltran allowed his first of 5 walks in the 5th inning, but the free passes did not faze the junior from Lynn University. Beltran came back to get the final out by forcing David Cronin to ground out to Kingfish 3rd baseman Sawyer Gieseke. After the game went final, a Simmons Field crowd of 2,638 exploded with thunderous applause.

The Kingfish offense plated 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Pat McInerney had an RBI single, Gunnar McNeill brought home a second run with a double, and a Nick Kanavas sacrifice fly made the score 3-0. Blake Reese paced the Kingfish offense with a 2 for 2 evening, which included a walk.

The Kingfish will host the Rockford Rivets in the season series finale tomorrow night at 5:05 CT. Then, the Kingfish will have a four game road trip in Green Bay and Wisconsin Rapids beginning Monday night.
