
Kingfish Ink Two Catchers Cropley And Starnes

Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish have added two more catchers to the 2016 summer roster. Tyler Cropley, a sophomore at Iowa Western Community College, and Logan Starnes, a junior at Eastern Kentucky, have signed with the Kingfish.
Cropley hails from McCook Lake, South Dakota and was a Utility man for the Reivers last year. He hit .271 with 19 RBI and 6 doubles. He played in 45 games and only struck out 10 times in 85 at bats.
In high school, he put together a decorated career. He was a three-time All-State selection took home All-Conference honors each of his four years of playing. He was also named to the All-Western Iowa team three times.
Starnes came off a year for Eastern Kentucky, which saw him blast his first collegiate home run and drive home 18 runs. He also notched 6 doubles in his 40 games and 31 starts at catcher.
Starnes comes from an equally impressive high school career. He was named the 12th Region (KY) Player of the Year in 2013 and took home first team All-State honors as well. He was able to get the job done in the class room as well, attaining academic all-state honors.
The two will join the already signed Pete Schuler behind the plate this upcoming season. The Kingfish will open up play this summer at home against the La Crosse Loggers on May 31 at 7:05 CST.
