Kids can take shots on goal on ice after next two Sunday games

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros announced Wednesday that following the next two Sunday "Family Day" games in November, kids ages 4-14 can go onto the ice and take two shots on goal. The games are this Sunday versus the Syracuse Crunch and next Sunday, Nov. 14 against the Edmonton Road Runners. Game times are 5:05 p.m.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for all kids ages 4-14 to take a shot on the ice like the pros," said Aeros vice president of marketing and communications Sandy Kirk. "They can feel like an Aero on the Toyota Center ice."

Tickets are on sale now for both Family Day games. Fans can purchase Family Day packages for any Sunday home game for just $59. It includes four tickets, four pucks, $20 in Toyota Bucks good for use at concession stands and free parking. Packages are available online at www.aeros.com/themenights/. Username is Family, Password is Aeros. Tickets can also be ordered through the Aeros office at 713.974.PUCK.

Children must have proper shoes to enter the ice. Flip-flops, shoes with a heel or sandals are not allowed. Participants cannot bring their own hockey sticks into the arena.
