
Kickers Sign Lucas Paulini

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the addition of Argentinean midfielder, Lucas Paulini, for the 2016 season. Paulini made 55 appearances over four seasons with North American Soccer League side Atlanta Silverbacks before impressing at the Kickers pro tryouts in January.
Relocating to the U.S. from Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2007, the 6'1" midfielder earned South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year and All-South Atlantic Conference First Team honors in his first season at Tusculum College in Tennessee. He was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First Team and the All-Region Division II Second Team before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University prior to his senior year.
During just one season at VCU, Paulini made 19 appearances and was named to the CAA All-First Team, while also picking up All-Region honors in each of his four collegiate seasons. He recently returned to VCU as the Rams' Director of Operations.
