The Kickers vs. Cape Cod Crusaders game Wednesday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Sports Backers Stadium is a third round Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match. Cape Cod is the defending 2003 Premier Development League (PDL) Champion and is currently ranked fourth in the Northeast Division of the PDL with a record of (6-3-0, 18 points). Once again the winner will advance to take on Freddy Adu and D.C. United.

Kickers Head To NY This Weekend The Richmond Kickers (7-3-3, 24 points) are set to play two on the road this weekend as they travel to New York to play the Syracuse Salty Dogs (4-4-2, 14 points) on Friday, June 25th followed by a match up with the Rochester Raging Rhinos (9-2-1, 28 points) on Saturday, June 26th. The Kickers will face both the Salty Dogs and Raging Rhinos for the first time this season.

"The first game is the most important as we currently hold the fourth spot in the eastern conference, and every team below us is battling to over take us," says Coach Leigh Cowlishaw. "Syracuse is always a difficult opponent, especially on their artificial turf, but our team is looking forward to the challenge."

Richmond shutout their lone Western Conference foe, the Milwaukee Wave United (1-7-1, 4 points) by a margin of two goals last weekend. Ronnie Pascale was the only Kicker to receive Team of the Week honors for his six saves, including one on a PK, in the Kickers victory over Milwaukee. Currently ranked first in the league, Rochester recently defeated the Seattle Sounders while fifth-ranked Syracuse had a week off and will return to the field well rested.
