Toronto Lynx News Release

(Toronto, Ont.) – The Toronto Lynx Soccer Club and the United Soccer Leagues ( USL) are pleased to announce that Ethan Zohn, Survivor: Africa winner and Survivor: All-Stars participant, will be the sideline reporter for a pair of USL/Fox Sports World broadcasts during the 2004 season.

Zohn will be the third member of the broadcast team for the July 30th match in Vancouver, British Columbia when the Vancouver Whitecaps host the Calgary Mustangs and for the August 13th match in Toronto, Ontario when the Lynx welcome the visiting Syracuse Salty Dogs to town for their annual Mascot Night which kicks off at 8:00.

Upon graduation from Vassar College, Zohn began a five-year professional soccer career with the USL and also coached soccer in the United States at the youth and college levels.

"We are very excited that Ethan will be a part of our Toronto Lynx televised match on Fox Sports World," says Nicole Hartrell, owner and Chief Operating Officer of the Toronto Lynx. " His knowledge of the USL and soccer will serve him well and we are certain that many new fans will be drawn to our Mascot Night as a result." Ethan will be on hand to provide the sideline commentary for the match and will also be available for the ceremonial kick. He will be arriving in Toronto on August 12th and will be available for local media tours.

Zohn acquired greater public spotlight when he was awarded $1 million in January 2002 for being the ultimate "Survivor" on the CBS series Survivor: Africa. Zohn has since worked with various non-profit organizations related to youth education through sports and has chosen to emphasize his involvement with his charity, Grassroot Soccer, in numerous public appearances, on his website and in interviews.

Grassroot Soccer is an international AIDS awareness organization having as its aim to reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS by training well-known soccer players to educate at-risk youth about the dangers of HIV infection and about the most effective ways to protect themselves.
