Kernels Announce 2016 TV Schedule

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Kernels bring the Party at the Park into fans' homes as 11 games are scheduled to be televised, either live or on a tape-delayed basis, on KCRG 9.2 and Mediacom MC22 during the 2016 season.

KCRG 9.2 will televise six home games live starting with Opening Day on Thursday, April 7th at 6:35 PM. The other five live games are Friday, May 20th; Tuesday, June 21st (Midwest League All-Star Game, presented by the Cedar Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau); Friday, July 22nd; Saturday, August 20th; and Saturday, September 3rd. Kernels play-by-play broadcasters Morgan Hawk and Chris Kleinhans-Schulz bring you all the exciting MWL action on both KCRG 9.2 and the Kernels flagship radio stations, 1450 KMRY AM and 93.1 KMRY FM.

KCRG 9.2 is available on local cable systems and free over-the-air to homes with an HDTV antenna.

Mediacom will broadcast five Kernels games on a tape-delayed basis on MC22 starting with the Kernels game vs. South Bend on Friday, April 29th. Other games include Wednesday, May 11th; Friday, June 24th; Thursday, July 23rd; and Thursday, August 4th.

MWL All-Star Game tickets, individual game tickets and 10-game coupon books are on sale now by visiting www.kernels.com or calling the Kernels Ticket Office at (319) 896-7560. Ticket Office hours are 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday and 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday. 2016 season ticket packages are on sale now at the stadium, or by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887.

The 2016 Kernels arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 4th and your first chance to meet the new team is on Tuesday, April 5th as part of "Meet the Kernels Night'. The Kernels open the 2016 MWL season on Thursday, April 7th against the Quad Cities River Bandits at 6:35 PM.
