
Kennedy and Schaus Head to Fort Wayne

Norfolk Admirals News Release
NORFOLK - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, today reassigned forward Matt Kennedy to the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets. In addition, the Admirals have loaned defenseman Nick Schaus to the Komets. Both announcements were made today by Admirals Assistant General Manager Bob Ferguson.
Kennedy and Schaus did not appear in a game with the Admirals last weekend as Norfolk opened the 2012-13 regular season against the Worcester Sharks at Scope on Friday and Saturday. Schaus recorded an assist and was even with two shots in two preseason games for the Admirals. Kennedy did not appear in a preseason game.
Kennedy had been assigned to the Admiral by the Ducks on September 14th. The Admirals signed Schaus to an American Hockey League Standard Player's Contract (SPC) on September 21st.
Next up for the Admirals is a pair of games against the Connecticut Whale this weekend at Norfolk Scope Arena. The puck drops on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m.
