
Kelowna Takes Shootout Win over Kamloops

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 3-2 in a shootout in an entertaining game in front of 6,054 fans at Prospera Place on Wednesday.
For the second straight game Zach Franko and Myles Bell scored in the shootout while goalie Adam Brown shut the door on two shooters, as the Rockets snapped the Blazers nine game winning streak and won its second in a row.
Trailing 2-1 in the third period, the Rockets got the tying goal from Brett Bulmer as the 19-year-old forward pounded home his 20th goal of the season, setting the stage for the heroics in the shootout.
Shane McColgan scored the other Rockets goal and added an assist on Bulmer's tying goal. Austin Madaisky and Brendan Ranford scored for the Blazers.
The win improves the Rockets record to 21-23-2-3 and 2-2 on its current five game home stand.
The Rockets close out the homestand on Friday when they host the Seattle Thunderbirds.
