Kansas City Explorers Kick Off Their 2008 Season

Kansas City, MO (June 10, 2008) - On July 6, the Kansas City Explorers will kick off their 2008 season with a home opener against the Springfield Lasers.
The match will take place at M&I Bank Stadium at Barney Allis Plaza. The gates will open at 5:30pm and the match will begin at 7:05pm. The match will include men and women's singles, men and women's doubles and mixed doubles.
The team features four top five players in the world, including the number one men's doubles team, the Bryan Brothers, as well as the number five ranked women's doubles pair, Kveta Pesche and Rennae Stubbs. Returning to the team is fan favorite, Dusan Vemic, and rounding off the team is the young British newcomer, James Auckland.
"I am extremely excited for this 2008 season; I feel we have a real chance at taking home the title this year," said Explorers co-owner and general manager, Jeff Launius.
All matches will be held at the scenic M&I Bank Stadium at Barney Allis Plaza in downtown Kansas City at 12th and Wyandotte. Individual tickets will go on sale Monday, June 2nd and can be purchased through the Explorers website, www.kcexplorers.com or by calling the box office at (816) 513-5630.
