Kansas City Explorers Announce Ticket Prices

KANSAS CITY, MO (May 29, 2012) The All-Star summer continues as the Kansas City Explorers prepare to celebrate their 20th anniversary season at Barney Allis Plaza. In honor of the 20th anniversary, The Explorers will return to original grandstand ticket prices of just $10 for all seven home matches. Box seats will be available for $50 per match. Individual match tickets are on sale now.
"It's not every day we get to celebrate our 20th anniversary so we wanted to give back to the community," general manager Jeff Launius said.
Opening Day will be Friday, July 13 and the Explorers will host the Springfield Lasers. Six of the seven home matches are on weekend nights with one match on a Tuesday night.
"In 20 years we have never had such a great schedule featuring so many weekend matches," Launius said.
The Explorers will debut a revamped roster with four new players: Tetiana Luzhanska, Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, Nick Monroe and Chanel Simmonds. In the marquee player draft the Explorers protected Bob and Mike Bryan. Coach Brent Haygarth is entering his sixth season leading the Explorers.
"We are excited for our team with a brand new roster and are striving to get to Charleston for the finals," Launius said.
The Explorers are planning nightly promotions and social media contests to add to the anniversary celebration.
