Kansas City Explorers Protect Bryan Brothers in WTT Marquee Player Draft

KANSAS CITY, MO. (February 14, 2012) - The Kansas City Explorers have kicked off their 20th anniversary celebration by protecting the world's best doubles team, Bob and Mike Bryan, the Bryan Brothers. The Kansas City Explorers protected the Bryan Brothers in the World TeamTennis Marquee Player Draft which took place this morning at 11:00 A.M.

"I can't think of a better way to start off our 20th Anniversary season than securing the Bryan Brothers," said Jeff Launius. "They have been a part of our team now for 8 years and we are excited to have them back with us for this milestone season!"

The Explorers had the 5th overall pick in the 2012 Marquee Player Draft and exercised their right to protect the world's number one doubles team.

The Kansas City Explorers are also excited to unveil their new 20th Anniversary logo celebrating their 20th year located in Kansas City.

The 37th season of the World TeamTennis Pro League presented by GEICO will run July 9th through July 28th. The Explorers schedule will be released late February or early March. The Explorers will continue to add to their lineup when the WTT Roster Player Draft is conducted on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.

Season tickets for the 2012 season are now on sale. Box seats are $250 each for all home matches and grandstand seats are $140 each for all home matches. Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.
