Kansas City Current Selects Two in the Second Round of the 2023 NWSL Draft

KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current selected two players in the NWSL Draft's Second Round. With the third pick in the round (15th overall) Kansas City picked defender Gabby Robinson from The University of West Virginia and with the sixth pick (18th overall) the Current selected goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz from Iowa State University.

Gabby Robinson

Defender, University of West Virginia

Robinson has started all 78 games of her collegiate career. The 5'8" defender earned numerous Big XI Defender of the Week awards and was named Academic All-Big XI all four years of her career. She has also represented the U.S. Women's National Team at the U-15 and U-17 levels.

Jordan Silkowitz

Goalkeeper, Iowa State University

Silkowitz is the first player drafted into the NWSL out of Iowa State University. She started her career at Ohio State University where she posted a 1.32 Goals-Against-Average her freshman year. After transferring to Iowa State, the 6'0" goalkeeper started every match for the Cyclones. She was a four-time Big XI Goalkeeper of the Week, Academic All-Big XI First Team in 2022.
