Kansas City Current News Release
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current have executed a trade with the Orlando Pride for an international roster spot in 2024. In exchange, the Pride will receive midfielder Morgan Gautrat and $50,000 in allocation funds.
Gautrat signed with the Current prior to the 2023 season after playing six years with the Chicago Red Stars with a short break to play for Olympique Lyonnais in France. The veteran midfielder made five appearances for Kansas City in 2023 with four starts. A first round draft pick with the Houston Dash in 2015, Gautrat has 89 regular season appearances in the NWSL and nearly 6,500 minutes played.
"We are grateful for Morgan's contributions to the club and wish her all the best in Orlando," said general manager Camille Ashton.
Next up for the Current is the 2024 NWSL Draft, presented by Ally, on Friday, January 12 in Anaheim, California.
