The Kansas City Current and the Kansas City Royals are teaming up to celebrate the start of their seasons. The city has shown support for both teams by displaying flags on the Country Club Plaza, Kansas City Sister Cities International Bridge and other locations ahead of Royals Opening Day on March 30 and the Current home opener on April 1.
Additionally, the teams are asking fans to show their KC sports pride by wearing blue on Thursday, March 30 and wear teal on Friday, March 31.
The Kansas City Royals ask you to Bring out the Blue and join them for Opening Day on Thursday, March 30th when the Royals take on the Minnesota Twins at 3:10 p.m. Gates open at noon, and the pre-game concert, featuring Brothers Osborne, will start at 1 pm. The Kansas City Current is encouraging all fans to #PackThePark for the club's home opener, a rematch of the 2022 NWSL Championship. The match kicks off at 11:50 a.m. CT on April 1 and will be nationally broadcast on CBS.
