The K-Wings started the week and a four-game road swing on Wednesday (3/30) against the Kansas City Outlaws. Trailing 3-1 late into the second period, the K-Wings mounted a comeback by scoring three goal over the game's last 24 minutes to defeat the Outlaws 4-3. Kevin Kerr led the K-Wings offensive assault by contributing three points in the victory.

On Friday (4/1), Kalamazoo stayed in the "Show Me State" to battle the Missouri River Otters. Missouri jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the opening period; however, the K-Wings would once again mount a comeback to grab the road win. Kalamazoo scored three unanswered goals in the last 40 minutes of play to skate away with the 3-1 victory.

Kalamazoo finished the week with a pair of games in Moline, Illinois against the Quad City Mallards. On Saturday (4/2), the K-Wings continued to play the roll of the cardiac kids, by erasing a 3-2 third period deficit. Dan Price scored his 10th goal of the year with just over four minutes to play to force a shootout. In the extra session, the K-Wings outscored the Mallards 2-0, as Kalamazoo went on to defeat Quad City 4-3 in a shootout.

Sunday (4/3) would prove to be a historic night for Kalamazoo. For the fourth straight game, the K-Wings erased a early deficit to defeat their opponent. Kevin Kerr's (14,15) two goal night propelled the K-Wings to a 4-2 win for the Mallards. The victory set two UHL records; the win was the K-Wings 28th on the road, which surpasses the 2000-01 Quad City Mallards. The win was also the K-Wings 12th straight on the road.

Fast Forward

The K-Wings will finish the regular season with three games this week. After spending the past four games on the road, the K-Wings return to Wings Stadium to battle the Danbury Trashers on Wednesday, April 6th. This season, the K-Wings are 1-1-1 against the Trashers. Wednesday's game will start at 7 p.m. and will coincide with AAA of Michigan NASCAR Night. AAA of Michigan will have the car and simulator of Roush Racing's Carl Edwards. Danbury starts the week sixth overall in the UHL.

On Friday (4/8), the K-Wings will conclude their road portion of their schedule with a game against the Rockford IceHogs. The K-Wings will be looking to extend their UHL record 12-game road winning streak. On the season, the K-Wings are 3-2-0 against the IceHogs this season. Rockford starts the week fifth overall in the UHL.

Kalamazoo will conclude the week and the regular season with a home game on Saturday (4/9) against the Missouri River Otters on WKFR Fan Appreciation Night. Face-off on Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m. Following the contest the K-Wings will hand out their annual awards. Kalamazoo is 6-0-1 against the Otters this season. Missouri starts the week in seventh overall in the UHL.

It's Up to Double Digits

The K-Wings are on a ten-game winning streak and are unbeaten in regulation in their last twelve games. In their last twelve games, the K-Wings have a record of 11-0-1. Both the win and unbeaten streaks are the longest current win and unbeaten streaks in the league.

Record Setting Night

Last night the K-Wings set two UHL records. With their 4-2 win over Quad City, the K-Wings set the record for most road wins in a season with 28, surpassing the 2000-01 Quad City Mallards. Kalamazoo also set the UHL record of consecutive road wins with 12. The K-Wings will look to extend their road winning streak to lucky number 13 this Friday night in Rockford.

Home Sweet Home

After playing their last four games on the road the K-Wings will return home to play two of their last three games at Wings Stadium. The K-Wings will play Danbury this Wednesday on AAA of Michigan NASCAR Night and then on Saturday, the K-Wings will drop the curtain on the regulation against the Missouri River Otters.

Eight Isn't Enough

Forward Andrew Luciuk enters the week on lengthy point streak. Luciuk is on an eight-game point streak, is the K-Wings longest point streak of the season. In his last eight games, the veteran forward has recorded an astonishing 16 points.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

The K-Wings have been positive on the road. Entering this week, all the players on the K-Wings roster have a positive plus/minus rating. The K-Wings are the only team in the UHL to have all their players with a positive plus/minus rating.
