
Kalamazoo Sending Six to Top Prospects Tournament

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League's North Division, announce that five skaters and head coach, Marc Fakler, have been selected by the league to represent their team on the North Division, and 18U squads at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Troy, Michigan.
Fakler will run the bench alongside Port Huron Fighting Falcons head coach, Bill Warren.
Forwards Drew Graves, Brock Raffaele and Robbie Payne and Defenseman, Chris Leone will be representing the North Division team, while defenseman, Brett Beauvais will be skating with the 18U Young Guns team.
The amount of players pulled from each team was based upon their winning percentage. Having the second highest in the North Division, Kalamazoo was able to send five skaters and their coach, a prestigious honor for all involved.
Graves, Raffaele and Payne, who combine as the top line for the Jr. K-Wings, let their production speak for themselves, as they have combined for 90 points (46 goals, 44 assists) on the season.
Beauvais and Leone were selected for their stout play on the blue line, which has left Kalamazoo in second place in the North Division half way through the season.
The three game tournament takes place from February 20-22, providing a chance to gain exposure from college and professional scouts from all over the world.
The Jr. K-Wings will return to the Borgess Health Rink at Wings West again on Sunday, February 11th against the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.
