January 24, 2012 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Texas Tornado News Release
The Texas Tornado have traded defenseman Tyler Rostenkowski to the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for three tenders.
"He's been here two and a half years and I love the kid," head coach and general manager of the Texas Tornado Tony Curtale said. "But with us getting healthy and it being near the end of the year, we wanted to get Rosty in a position where he'd be playing a lot in situations where his skill would allow him to excel."
Rostenkowski had been in his third season as a member of the Tornado and scored 3 goals and 10 assists in 42 games played in 2011-2012. In 127 games played with Texas, the defenseman, who is committed to play his college hockey at Air Force, had 36 points and 97 PIM.
