Kalamazoo Makes Trade, Acquires Flood From Chicago

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members for the North American Hockey League's North Division announce the trade of forward Matt Cessna to the Chicago Hitmen in exchange for forward Brandon Flood.

Flood comes to Kalamazoo after 23 games with Chicago on the season. The NAHL rookie from Mason, Michigan, was second on the Hitmen in scoring with 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists). Flood also lead the Hitmen in penalty minutes with 57.

The Jr. K-Wings gave up the eighteen year old Cessna in the two-team deal. In nineteen games on the campaign, Cessna tallied two goals and two assists.

Head Coach, Marc Fakler, is excited with their new addition to the roster, as he is anticipating even more production from his offense: "Brandon is a talented offensive player that has a track record for scoring goals."

Flood is set to wear #26 for the Jr. K-Wings and Fakler plans to have him available by the start of this weekends two-game set with the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.

The Jr. K-Wings will return to the Borgess Health Rink at Wings West again on Sunday, November 27th against the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.
