June 7, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release

Tulsa Oilers head coach Butch Kaebel will give his views on Central Hockey League changes for the upcoming season at the teams Stanley Cup watch party Wednesday night (June 7) at 7 p.m. at Cowboy Sharkies, 58th and Memorial.

The Central Hockey League's Board of Governors recently approved several operational changes. Among them are league re-alignment which has the Oilers moving into the Northeast Division for 2006-07. The CHL also expanded the playoff format to 12 teams, revised the salary compensation structure from $8,500 to $10,000 per week per team, and adjusted the number of games to classify a player as a veteran from 260 to 280.

Kaebel, who recently returned from the CHL annual conference, will be available to answer questions on these matters and talk about Oilers' player personnel while watching game two of the Stanley Cup final between Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers Wednesday night at Cowboy Sharkies.

Oiler season tickets for the 2006-07 season are now on sale. The prices are the same as the 2005-06 season, ranging from $300 to $475. The Oilers have also instituted an automatic payment plan to make purchasing season tickets even easier and more convenient. Also new this year is a 10 game flex pack. For more information call the Oilers at (918) 632-7825.
