K-Wings Promotional Schedule and Tickets On-Sale Date Announced

Kalamazoo, MI- Fans of the Kalamazoo Wings can now start planning their visits to Vanrick Drive as the K-Wings unveil their promotional schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

Celebrating their 40th Anniversary season, the K-Wings have enriched their promotional schedule with a variety of celebrities, giveaway items plus new and traditional promotional nights.

Tickets for all 36 K-Wings home games and two preseason games will go on-sale this Tuesday, October 1st at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Fans who plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 18 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans, along with full-season and group ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings Sales office by calling (269) 743-6011.

The K-Wings will drop the puck for their home opener on Saturday, October 26th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Evansville IceMen during the 10th Annual Orange Ice Game presented by Meijer and WZUU (92.5 FM). Fans are encouraged to dress in costumes for Halloween festivities including a chance to win $200 for both an adult and child in the K-Wings' best costume contest.

There will be celebrities heading to Wings Stadium this season including Duck Dynasty's Mountain Man (November 1st), Disney Princesses' (November 3rd), acrobatic artist Flippen Out (December 14th), Detroit Red Wings legend Darren McCarty (December 20th), Star Wars characters (January 11th), the ZOOperstars (January 18th) and the star of Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm Stefanie Scott.

This season, the K-Wings are providing fans plenty of opportunities to receive limited edition giveaway items including a commemorative team poster (November 16th), ladies tote bag (November 30th) and a Nick Bootland bobblehead night (January 4th). Also, as part of the K-Wings "Family Hockey Day in the Zoo", the first 500 kids (12 and under) will receive an exclusive giveaway during all Sunday home games.

The 2013-14 promotional schedule will also feature some fun traditional nights including the 10th Annual Orange Ice (October 26th), Education Day morning game (November 6th), Scout Night (November 8th and March 8th), Military Appreciation Night (November 15th), Teddy Bear Toss Night (December 13th), 12th Annual New Year's Eve Bash (December 31st), 14th Annual Pink Ice (February 14th), 3rd Annual Komen Night (February 15th), Kibbles and Sticks bring your dog to the game night (February 23rd), Faith Night (March 8th), the K-Wings' 33rd Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game (March 17th) and Fan Appreciation Night (April 12th).

There will be several season-long promotions on the calendar including Sunday's "Family Hockey Day in the 'ZOO" (first 500 kids receive a giveaway item and eat FREE. There is also a post game skate with the players), the popular $2 beer, $1 hot dog and $1 Pepsi promotions return for five games during the season (October 26th, November 15th, December 13th, February 15th, and March 29th) and WNWN Winning Wednesday's (when the K-Wings win a Wednesday home game starting on November 27th, everyone in attendance will receive a ticket to the next Wednesday home game).

Tickets for all K-Wings regular season home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
