K-Wings' Mike Modugno Earns Two Front Office Awards

Kalamazoo, MI - The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce Mike Modugno has been honored with two of the league's Annual Front Office Awards.

The IHL named Modugno its Public Relations Director and Broadcaster of the Year. This is the second consecutive year that Modugno has been recognized as Broadcaster of the Year by the International Hockey League.

In his seven seasons with the K-Wings, Modugno has collected six front office awards. During the 2003-04 and 2007-08 season, Modugno was honored as Broadcaster of the Year and earned Public Relations Director of the Year Awards in 2004-05 and 2006-07.

Public relations directors and broadcasters from the IHL's six member clubs, along with media members selected the Public Relations Director and Broadcaster of the Year.

The IHL will present the awards to Modugno on Friday, April 10th during the K-Wings regular season finale, when they host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30 p.m. on Fan Appreciation Night.

Unbeaten in six straight games (5-0-1-0), the K-Wings will look to continue the stretch with a pair of home games this week.

On Friday, April 3rd, the K-Wings will host the Port Huron Icehawks on Team Poster Giveaway Night, presented by WRKR. The contest is also the second of three Pepsi Family Fridays, in which the K-Wings offer fans $1 Pepsi and $1 popcorn. Kalamazoo will also battle the Bloomington PrairieThunder this Saturday, April 4th. Both games will face-off at 7:30 p.m.

Single-game tickets for any of the K-Wings 38 regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
