Burning Rubber - For the fourth straight series, the K-Tribe will play in a rubber game. They need a win to push their consecutive series win streak to eight. Kinston is 5-3 in rubber games and has won four rubber games in a row. They are 9-7 in series finales this season. In each of the last four series, the K-Tribe has won the series opener before falling in the middle game and then winning the rubber game.

Oh Henry! - Centerfielder Jordan Henry was 3-for-5 with an RBI last night and continues to stand among the league leaders in several categories. Henry leads the Carolina League with a .480 on-base percentage and ranks tied for second with a .353 batting average. Henry's 29 walks in just 32 games also lead the league. He has reached base in 28 of his 32 games. Henry missed 18 games in April with a sprained finger.

May's Best- Henry led the team and was 4th-best in the league in May with a .343 average. His .467 OBP led the league. Kipnis had a team-best 19 RBI, ranking 4th in the league for the month. Kyle Bellows hit .290 in May with 4 HR and 15 RBI, along with 14 extra-base hits. Lucas Montero was 6th in the league and Ronald Rivas 7th in OBP in May. Joe Gardner was 3rd in the CL with a 1.95 ERA and McFarland was 5th at 2.13. McFarland was 2nd in the circuit with 4 wins in May.
