K-Tribe Attendance Reaches 130,000

KINSTON - With the K-Tribe wrapping up their home schedule over the weekend, the numbers are in and a total of 130,406 fans saw the Indians play baseball in 2008! The total attendance is more than 15,000 fans than the 2007 season and the most since 2001. The K-Tribe averaged almost 2,000 fans per game this season. Kinston reached the 130,000 fan plateau even though they had four of their games cancelled, the same number of lost openings as in 2007.

This is the fifth straight season of increased attendance for the Kinston Indians. This season's attendance total is just the seventh time the K-Tribe has reached the 130,000 mark in their 45 year affiliation with the Carolina League.

The K-Tribe finishes their 2008 season on the road with four games at Winston-Salem and four at Myrtle Beach. The Kinston Indians are fighting for the final playoff spot in the Carolina League Southern Division as they try to qualify for the playoffs for an eighth straight season.
