
Justin Macdonald Returns to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Thunderbolts have signed forward Justin MacDonald. Head Coach / General Manager Jeff Pyle spoke about Justin at practice today, "It is good to have a guy familiar with Evansville and a fan favorite. He brings experience and leadership to the room. He is a talented hockey player."
MacDonald had a breakout season in 2014 - 2015 when he scored 44 goals in 46 games for Watertown (FHL). That season, he signed with the Evansville IceMen (ECHL). In two seasons, he played 55 games for Evansville scoring 15 goals and 33 points. MacDonald has 124 games of SPHL experience. The 6-foot-1 forward accumulated 60 points and 89 PIMs in those contests.
INJURY UPDATE
Mike Scorcia has been placed on the 21-day IR. Scorcia leads the team in points with six, and tied for the team lead in goals with three.
ROAD SHOW
Join the Thunderbolts Wednesday night at Bar Louie from 7 - 8 pm. Tanner Milliron and Brent Clarke will be in attendance. Derick Benigni and Tyler Jackson host the presentation.
Bar Louie is located at 7700 Eagle Crest in Evansville.
WEEKEND PREVIEW
Evansville will look to chalk up its first win against Roanoke on Friday, Nov. 11 at the Berglund Center. Roanoke (3-2-1) is coming off a win against Fayetteville and an overtime loss against Huntsville. The Thunderbolts are 0-2 against the Rail Yard Dawgs this season. Then, it is back-to- -more- back home games against Macon Mayhem on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. The Thunderbolts are looking for payback after Macon (5-1-1) swept Evansville on the road one week ago.
