Owen Sound Attack News Release

On Saturday and Sunday, the Owen Sound Attack will be giving fans a chance to say thanks to those who keep us safe. February 14th has been declared "Support Our Troops Day" by the Royal Canadian Legion and each branch in Ontario has planned events around this day. The Owen Sound Branch's Color Party (Branch 6) will be on hand during Saturday's game vs. the Niagara Ice Dogs to for the national anthem to pay tribute to the many soldiers who are overseas. Members of the Legion will also be on hand to accept donations for the Royal Canadian Legion Troop Morale Fund, which goes towards purchasing Tim Horton's Coffee and Donuts for every troop member at least once every two weeks. On February 14th, let's show our Troops that Ontario Command Legion Branches and Ontario Citizens have them in their hearts and support them 100%.

On Sunday, the Troops from LFCATC Meaford will be on hand for an appreciation day. Along with members of LFCATC Meaford being present, fans will have the chance to view their latest equipment, try on tactical gear, have their faces painted just like a soldier would, view Military Vehicles and most of all, thank the Soldiers for their ongoing commitment to keeping out country safe.

Also present on Sunday will be the Grey-Bruce Crimestoppers who will be present to hand out promotional items, raffling off an autographed Attack Jersey and so much more.

Join us this Saturday and Sunday when the Attack host the Niagara Ice Dogs and the Brian Kilrea lead Ottawa 67's!
